Entre los métodos estudiados destacan los pasivos, activos autoasistidos, dinámicos, balísticos, la facilitación neuromuscular propioceptiva (PNF, facilitación neuromuscular propioceptiva), técnicas de músculo-energía (TME), contracción-relajación (CR) y contracción de antagonistas, así como el estiramiento en el contexto de la fisioterapia práctica. A través de una cuidada iconografía (más de 160 fotografías y 200 dibujos anatómicos a color) y descripciones claras y didácticas de los protocolos, se muestra cómo aplicar las diversas técnicas de estiramientos, la localización. El propósito de este libro consiste pues en proporcionar una gran cantidad de técnicas de eficacia clínicamente probada, que los fisioterapeutas, masajistas, entrenadores, profesores de educación física, médicos rehabilitadores, osteópatas, deportistas así como estudiantes puedan adoptar con facilidad y usar como consulta rápida en la clínica.
